description|philosophy

Their goal is to provide amps for optimum amplification of acoustic instruments yet in the smallest possible space and with reliable professional equipment
product line
The custom 8-inch "double cone" speaker in the AER Compact 60 series, Domino, Alpha and Basic Performer is well known for its natural reproduction of midrange frequencies. Trebles are "enhanced" but not "brilliant" and Bass is "present" but natural. These characteristics blend well with many bridge mounted pickups common on acoustic string instruments.
The Compact Classic, Compact XL and Acousticube include a tweeter for additional high frequency content. The upgraded cast aluminum frame woofers in the XL and Aoousticuble reproduce bass with more definition.
AER recently introduced the Amp One for E-bass. Barely larger than its 1x10 speaker, 200 W into 8-ohms @ 1% THD, 30 Hz-20 kHz, parametric mids, compressor. 29,5 lbs.

client opinions
AER are the standard for acoustic amps in many parts of Europe and have a following in the US. Ulf Wakenius, Gene Bertoncini, John Stowell, Fred Hamilton, Martin Taylor, Jack Wilkins. There's nothing exaggerated about the sound. Solo artists often tend to prefer AER for this reason. Then too, they are very portable and simple to use.
