Bud Henriksen was an incessant electronic tinkerer. He just couldn't help himself...and this proved a good thing for the community of Jazz guitarists. Bud and his son Peter first launched Henriksen JazzAmp in 2006 with a mission to create a "pure" amp for Jazz guitar; pure by having no tone controls. As Bud explained, this approach leaves "tone color" decisions to the realm of the guitar and the guitarist. The concept for the first Henriksen amp was born!
The Henriksen JazzAmp control panel includes only volume, reverb and that now trademark Henriksen studio quality 5-band graphic equalizer. The equalizer can be used to finely compensate for room environment, reduce feedback or morph the sound of an instrument. Intelligent and highly practical.

One integrated head model. Rated at 120 watts @ 8-ohms and 160 watts @ 4-ohms. Includes reverb.
Combos in two series 1x10 and 1x12. Standard and Extended Range [ER] configurations. All are now rated at 120 watt RMS [@8-ohms]. The original 1x10 standard series 60 watt combo has been discontinued.
Head+passive speaker in 1x10 format packaged as three "Convertible" models. Two models configured for guitar (standard and ER) and the other for bass. All three include a gig bag for portability.
The SoundClone series of modular powered speakers (i.e., no preamp) are rated at 120 watts RMS. Available in 1x10 and 1x12 configurations. Add power and speaker surface area as necessary with no limits.
Separate tweeter available as "Tweety" speaker model. Adds high frequency content to any amplifier with a "speaker out" jack. Includes volume control. Crossover is built-in.

client opinions
Appeals to many customers familiar with Polytone. Similar darker tone character but Henriksen amps are clearer and with less coloration. All analog circuitry has its own loyal following. Excellent warranty and support service.
